ROUTE 1: Serra de Tramuntana Mountains – North of Mallorca

Road Trip by Mallorca: Tramuntana

Serra de Tramuntana, Mallorca.

This road trip allows you to discover the most beautiful parts of northern Mallorca. We start off in Valldemossa, a magical town with ancient cobbled streets and an extensive cultural heritage. Take a tour of the Cartuja and visit the Chopin Museum, where the famous composer lived over the winter of 1938 to 1939.

Once you have dipped into the culture of Valldemossa, continue your route on the Ma-13 to Lluc Monastery, a monument of astounding beauty and an architectural treasure. You will be enchanted by this pilgrimage site which is very important for the Mallorcan people. The monastery is in the heart of the Serra de Tramuntana mountains, a must-see place for everyone who visits Mallorca. The Serra de Tramuntana was declared a World Heritage by UNESCO in 2011 and is the biggest mountain range in the Balearic Islands. Unmissable.

And, to enjoy the impressive Serra de Tramuntana scenery even more, continue along the Ma-10 to Pollença in the north of Mallorca. What does this town have? It has great cuisine, friendly people, very Mallorcan settings and a beautiful coastline.

We end the route in Puerto de Alcudia, home to our hotel JS Sol de Alcudia****. This is a major tourist destination near Alcudia, a town with an ancient history, enormous architectural wealth and Phoenician and Roman ruins. Enjoy the historic town centre dating back to the sixteenth and eighteenth centuries.

You can also end your road trip in Mallorca in Playa de Muro. If you stay in our JS Alcudi Mar **** Hotel, you can enjoy this fantastic part of Mallorca with one of the most stunning beaches on the island. The dunes and turquoise waters combine with the fine white sand to make it the perfect place to enjoy a memorable sunset. And it’s also easy to find parking!
